About MaoZhiDao

Who runs this site, how the content is prepared, and what to keep in mind when using it.

What MaoZhiDao is

MaoZhiDao is a care knowledge base for cat owners. It covers nine topics: symptom lookup, senior cat care, multi-cat households, ingredients, a health encyclopedia, emotional comfort, food transitions, growth milestones, and home environment, available in Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean. The goal is to help owners understand what might be going on when something seems off, what to watch for, and when to see a veterinarian.

Who runs it

MaoZhiDao is run by independent developer TengRip, who also builds a series of cat care apps (see the Cat tools page). We are cat owners and developers, not veterinarians. The site is meant to help owners understand and observe, not to diagnose.

How content is prepared

Articles are based on publicly available guidelines and educational materials from organizations such as AAFP, ISFM, International Cat Care, WSAVA, and the Cornell Feline Health Center, rewritten in plain language for owners. Every article lists clickable original sources at the bottom so you can check them yourself. AI tools assist with drafting, and every cited source has been individually verified to exist.

How to use this site

Content here is for general education and reference only and cannot replace diagnosis or treatment by a veterinarian. If your cat has trouble breathing, keeps vomiting, has not urinated for more than 24 hours, or seems limp and weak, contact a veterinary clinic right away instead of searching online.
