What MaoZhiDao is
MaoZhiDao is a care knowledge base for cat owners. It covers eleven topics: symptom lookup, senior cat care, multi-cat households, ingredients, a health encyclopedia, emotional comfort, food transitions, growth milestones, home environment, blood tests, and pet-food recalls, available in Chinese, English, Japanese, and Korean. The goal is to help owners understand what might be going on when something seems off, what to watch for, and when to see a veterinarian.
Who runs it
MaoZhiDao is run by independent developer MaxTeng, who also builds a series of cat care apps (see the Cat tools page). MaxTeng develops the site, organizes information and checks sources, does not own a cat, and is not a veterinarian. The site provides sourced reading guides and tools without claiming personal cat-care or medical experience. There is currently no veterinary reviewer.
How content is prepared
Articles are based on publicly available guidelines and educational materials from organizations such as AAFP, ISFM, International Cat Care, WSAVA, and the Cornell Feline Health Center, rewritten in plain language for owners. Pages list citations and further checking material. Whether a source supports a claim matters more than an organization name; institutional pages are background only. AI assists preparation and translation. The editor checks Chinese content against sources; English, Japanese and Korean are translation drafts pending language review. A byline and check date do not imply veterinary review. Real reports are anonymous extracts without inferred diagnoses.
How to use this site
Content here is for general education and reference only and cannot replace diagnosis or treatment by a veterinarian. If your cat has trouble breathing, keeps vomiting, repeatedly strains to urinate without passing urine, or seems limp and weak, contact a veterinary clinic right away instead of searching online.
