What to do if your food is listed
Check that it is the same batch
A matching product name does not always mean your bag is affected. Taiwan's notices list manufacture and best-before dates, so compare them with your package; U.S. recalls usually cover specific lot numbers, so open the official notice to check the lot.
Same batch: stop feeding and keep the package
Stop feeding it right away and keep the package, lot number, and receipt so the store or company can handle a refund or exchange. Wash your hands after handling the food, bowls, and litter, since bacteria such as Salmonella can also spread to people.
See a vet if your cat has symptoms
If your cat has vomiting, diarrhea, poor appetite, lethargy, or fever, take them to the vet and say which product they ate; bringing the package helps.
Reporting a problem
In Taiwan, you can report a problem pet food through the Contact section of the Ministry of Agriculture's pet food site or to your local animal protection office.
