BHT

BHT is an artificial antioxidant preservative. Animal study results are inconsistent — some high-dose studies raised cancer concerns while others found no effect — and IARC lists it as Group 3 (not classifiable as to carcinogenicity in humans). Typical levels are legal; if you prefer to avoid it, choose products preserved with mixed tocopherols (vitamin E).

Other common names: butylated hydroxytoluene, 二丁基羥基甲苯, ジブチルヒドロキシトルエン
