bone meal

Bone meal is a natural high-calcium, high-phosphorus ingredient. It is fine for healthy pets in moderation, but pets with chronic kidney disease (CKD) should choose low-phosphorus diets. Bones can accumulate environmental lead, and older studies found higher lead in bone-meal calcium sources than in refined calcium, though the gap has narrowed greatly since 2000 — choosing reputable brands is sufficient.

Other common names: steamed bone meal, 骨粉, ボーンミール
