monocalcium phosphate

Monocalcium phosphate is a common calcium and phosphorus source. It is more soluble than other calcium phosphates, so its phosphorus is absorbed faster. It is used at legal levels in complete pet foods and healthy pets do not need to avoid it; cats and dogs with chronic kidney disease (CKD) should choose low-phosphorus diets.
