soy
Soy is a common plant protein in pet food and can cause food allergies, but evidence reviews show the most common food allergens in cats are beef, fish, and chicken, with soy not among the top. Soy contains phytoestrogens, and the hormonal effects of long-term high intake in pets are still debated. Pets known to be allergic to soy should avoid it.
Other common names: soybean, soy meal, soybean meal, soy protein, soy protein isolate, soy flour, 大豆, 黃豆, 大豆蛋白, 大豆粉, 大豆ミール, ソイプロテイン
